Europe 09 Baby

What can I say about Europe? Europe is filled with really generous people, gynormous peaks and glaciers, and tiny cars that corner up the steep mountain roads really well, not to mention great beer and better wine. A big thanks to Beat, Blair, HP, Sibylle, Kilse, Herve, Philou and the Stevenson's for allowing Sarah and I to have one hell of a two week ski and bike trip. Our trip wouldn't have been what it was without their help, thanks again!
We started off skiing in Verbier, went to Zermatt and Chamonix, met the McNeals and skied Serre Chavalier and La Grave, with a little touring mixed in. I was in heaven every day. See Sarah's blog for a detailed description (http://www.idahosarah.blogspot.com/) We ended up the trip riding bikes through the Piedmont district of Italy. It was a trip of a lifetime, one that probably won't be topped, but I am sure going to try...here are some shots from a trip that produced thousands of pics, so enjoy!

Sleddin in the Salmon Basin

Willie and I took advantage of high to considerable avalanche conditons and bright blue skys in order to scope future skiing spots and get some time on the sleds at Smiley Creek. We literally made pow turns till we couldn't hold onto the handle bars any longer, then we headed home. Enjoy these pics-

Boulders

Matt, Willie and I headed out into the Boulders last Sunday for a day filled with amazing views, goat sightings, and cooler schralping. We had a hard time deciding what to ski but in the end we picked a steep cooler that got all of our juices flowing. Here are some shots, enjoy-
